Dr. Weisdorf received his M.D. from the Chicago Medical School and completed an internal medicine residency at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. He completed a Hematology Oncology fellowship at the University of Minnesota. He now serves as director of the Adult Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at the University of Minnesota; co-leader of the Transplant Biology and Therapy Research Program; scientific director of the National Marrow Donor Program; and senior research advisor for the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research.
