Research Interests

Dr. Steinberger's research interests are focused on clinical and epidemiologic studies of metabolic syndrome, insulin resistance and cardiovascular risk factors in children and young adults. She has been and continues to be funded by the NIH in these studies. Recently she received funding from the NCI to study the metabolic syndrome in childhood cancer survivors. She currently serves on several committees of the American Heart Association and on expert panels in areas of preventive cardiology.
