Dr. Haddad received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Marquette University. After graduation she spent two years studying the Insulin-like Growth Factor axis through laboratory-based research for the Mayo Clinic. Thereafter she received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Creighton University and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in 2001. She completed her internal medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine. Following this she joined the University of Minnesota fellowship program in Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation. She joined the faculty at the University of Minnesota in 2007 as an assistant professor of medicine. Her clinical care is exclusively for patients with breast cancer.
Dr. Haddad's primary research interest is in clinical research for breast cancer. She has a specific interest in translational research and novel therapeutics for breast cancer, including immunotherapies. She will be overseeing the University of Minnesota's clinical trials program for patients with breast cancer. She is also working to establish a research program for quality of life and symptom management in breast cancer survivors.
