What is long-term follow-up?

Cancer survivors and survivors of stem cell transplantation often face special life-long health and wellness needs that differ from the general population. Long-term follow-up is a specialized form of ongoing health care. It includes screening for delayed complications of therapy and provides education for patients and families regarding risk factors associated with prior cancer treatment.

Making an appointment

The Long-Term Follow-Up Clinic at University of Minnesota Physicians Masonic Cancer Clinic is available to all survivors of childhood and young adult cancers, no matter what age, what diagnosis, or where they received their past treatment. To schedule an appointment or to make an inquiry for survivors of childhood cancer, please call 612-625-5411. Former adult marrow or stem cell transplant patients, please call the Blood and Marrow Transplant Clinic at 612-626-2663 to schedule a follow-up appointment.
