(July 7, 2008) Representatives from the Stick It to Cancer Tournament visited the Masonic Cancer Center June 23 to present a check for $67,500 for breast cancer research. The annual women's hockey tournament was held in April at the National Sports Center Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minn. The Masonic Cancer Center is the designated recipient of funds raised at the tournament, which this year featured nearly 100 girls' and women's teams playing on pink ice, and raised $22,500 more than it did in 2007. Event sponsors included Farmers Insurance, which sponsored the pink ice, and Park & Sell Auto-Mart of Ham Lake, Minn., which sponsored the tournament's Waffle Breakfast.
