2008 Breast Cancer Research Program Breast Cancer Concept Award
Department of Defense
Deadline: Pre-Application: November 6, 2008; Proposal: November 20, 2008
Funding: $75,000 for direct costs/yr, plus indirect costs as appropriate. See announcement for details.
The Concept Award supports the exploration of a highly innovative new concept or untested theory that addresses an important problem relevant to breast cancer. The Concept Award is not intended to support a logical progression of an already established research project but, instead, supports high-risk studies that have the potential to reveal entirely new avenues for investigation. A pre-application is required and must be submitted through the CDMRP eReceipt website, https://cdmrp.org. All proposals must be submitted through Grants.gov.
Extramural Opportunities Requiring Nomination
The Office of the Senior Vice President for Research (OVPR) offers a database of externally funded grant opportunities that require University nomination because the sponsor has limited the number of applications an institution is allowed to submit. For a listing of opportunities and application instructions, visit the OVPR Web site. This database lists opportunities and describes the internal submission process required for each of the listings. If you encounter an opportunity that limits the number of submissions, this would be the first place to check for information about the University process.
Visit the Funding News & Opportunities Web page to see listings previously published in Update.
