FOURTH ANNUAL COLORECTAL CANCER SUMMIT

 

The Fourth Annual Colorectal Cancer Summit, hosted in part by the Minnesota Colorectal Cancer Consortium, is taking place on Friday, March 4th, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester as part of an event entitled "Cancer Prevention in Clinical Practice," This program will be held in Phillips Hall, Siebens Medical Education Building, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The program will focus on:

  • Interactive discussions of clinical relevant topics related to cancer prevention
  • Strategies for overcoming practice barriers to screening
  • Cancer genetics and genomics

REMINDER: DON'T MISS THE CANCER AND THE HUMAN BODY EVENT ON SATURDAY

 

Bring your family and friends to the Cancer and the Human Body event, 1-4 p.m., Saturday at the Science Museum, 120 W. Kellogg Blvd. It's an opportunity to learn more about cancer and the research work being done at the cancer center. The event is free with museum admission of $8.50 for adults and $6.50 for children and seniors.

EARLY THERAPEUTICS DEVELOPMENT WITH PHASE II EMPHASIS (NOT-CA-05-014)

The Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP), of the Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis (DCTD), National Cancer Institute (NCI), is seeking, on a contract basis, organizations or consortiums with the capabilities and facilities to provide a resource for the conduct of Phase 2 and early clinical trials of NCI-sponsored agents, to evaluate biologic effects of these agents on their molecular targets, to evaluate other relevant biologic effects, and to determine clinically relevant outcomes/correlates.

UNITS FOR HIV/AIDS CLINICAL TRIALS NETWORKS (RFA-AI-05-002)

The objective of this RFA is to solicit applications for Clinical Trials Units (CTUs) to implement the clinical research plans of one or more of the HIV/AIDS Clinical Trials Networks. Each CTU will be led by a Principal Investigator, comprised of an Administrative Component and one or more Clinical Research Sites, and optimally configured to conduct clinical research by recruiting, screening, enrolling and following research participants from the populations most affected and/or endangered by the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
