The John H. Kersey Chair
in Cancer Research

Colleagues, former students, friends, and grateful patients are establishing the John H. Kersey Chair in Cancer Research.

This endowed chair celebrates the visionary leadership of John Kersey in advancing cancer research and enhanced patient care at the University of Minnesota. The establishment of the John H. Kersey Chair in Cancer Research will honor his legacy in perpetuity and will support future Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota directors as they strive to improve the lives of cancer patients from Minnesota and the rest of the world. The John H. Kersey Chair in Cancer Research will provide a significant source of funding to:

  • maintain the Masonic Cancer Center's leading work in research and patient care,
  • recruit and retain leaders in the field of cancer research, and
  • enhance the teaching, clinical work, and research of the individual named as chairholder.

An invitation to participate

This chair will be fully funded at $5 million, which includes a dollar-for-dollar match by the University of Minnesota. You are invited to be part of the future of cancer research, education, and patient care. Please give generously to honor John's legacy at the University.
