Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes. Your gift to the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota which is administered by the Minnesota Medical Foundation (MMF), qualifies as a charitable deduction for federal tax purposes as permitted by law. What is the relationship between the Masonic Cancer Center and the Minnesota Medical Foundation?
The Minnesota Medical Foundation (MMF), a non-profit organization providing support for health-related research and education programs at the University of Minnesota, directly administers all gifts to the Masonic Cancer Center. MMF is a 501(c)(3) founded in 1939 to secure philanthropic gifts for the University of Minnesota's Medical School, School of Public Health and Masonic Cancer Center.
When Patricia Fairbanks' only son Bradley was diagnosed with bladder cancer three years ago, she was devastated. "I felt a profound sense of helplessness," says Fairbanks, a retired school teacher who lives in a western suburb of Minneapolis. "I knew I had to do something, but I didn't know what."

Every gift is important and appreciated. The cumulative effect of several small gifts can be significant in helping fund important basic and clinical research, capital projects for new equipment and facilities, and helping recruit and retain top researchers and scientists.
